Q1: What are the dimensions of the clip? i have both vertical and horizontal vent slats. 2003 vw jetta. i just want to make sure the clip fits properly

The size of the deepest clip is 7.4''*7.0'', the shortest clip is 5.7''*4.8''. 

It is very small in size. It will work for your car.

Q2: Does it work with a case on the phone?

Yes! If you case is very slim. It is recommended to past the metal paste on bottom or the top of the phone case or the phone, if your cell phone can be charged by the wireless charger. 

Q3: Isn't it bad for the phone to have it mounted on the vent and hot air from the car heating system blowing on it?

It is recommended to to turn off the air-condition of the air vent that you install the car phone mount if you do worry about the heating problem. 

Q4: Will it work with Iphone Xs Max?

Yes it will, that’s the kind phone I have and it works fine!! 

Q5: This remains for the time being.

The gel pad is reusable. Use some warm water to wash let it be clean and dry. It would be sticky again. 

Q6: will it fit my samsung s7 that has a case and popsocket?

VICSEED car phone mount fits Samsung S7, but not for Popsocket, or any other phone ring holders. 

Q7: Does it fall off?

No, they won't. I adhere it on my windshield and it stays well, ever it's summer and always a high temperature. Actually, you can also use the vent clip which they send to you.
